Whew! Kids are a handful! And I only have one so far.
Tommy threw up for the second time in his life this morning and after a trip to the doctor, he did it again. At least he found the toilet this time. So far we've kept apple juice down him for about 10 minutes. I'll try another ounce in a few minutes and we'll see how we do.
The line of the day was (in between throw-ups... literally just a second before he threw up again)
"Mommy, is Special Agent Oso over yet? Is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on already?" I guess he has priorities.

I'm Blessed...
After an incredibly long day yesterday, which included baking cookies for Tommy's Easter Party at school, making an appetizer for small group, and making dinner for a staff meeting at our house (I triple-tasked and made them all at the same time, thank you very much), I was completely exhausted. I had been very busy all day and my allergies are starting to get to me and the fact that I'm supposed to deliver a baby in oh, say, 9 more weeks is also getting to me. So the idea of leading small group last night for the Twentysomething Ladies was just making me exhausted. I even cried a little bit on the way there because I was just so tired and I had hit a wall (I would have cried on the way to Disney World... it's not the group). But then when I walked in, they all yelled "Happy Baby!" (which completely confused me because I thought they said happy birthday and that's months away). When I realized that they had put together a surprise baby shower, I cried again. I love leading those ladies and I was blown away by their thoughtfulness. I'm incredibly blessed.
I love my husband. He's done so well taking care of me and making sure I have everything I need (as in, "Honey, go get yourself a pedicure. It will be nice and relaxing for you"). He cleaned Tommy's major poopy explosion last night, even if he did have to throw his clothes away (it was that bad). And he's always seeing how he can help me. One of my favorite questions he asks is "What can I do to make your life easier today?" And I usually have something for him. I'm incredibly blessed.
I love my church. The people are so excited and they bring their friends who don't know Jesus. God's blessed it more than we could ever have imagined. We are currently preparing for our third annual Easter on the Moon services, which will be the first time the Well has had two services at The Moon. (Go here for a great plug for it, starring Tommy) I'm incredibly blessed.
And of course my little boy is unbelievable. He gives me about 10-20 unsolicited "Mommy I love you"s throughout the day and it always melts me. Poor guy, his world is about to be turned upside down in a couple months. But I'm incredibly blessed.

Say What?!?
I was bringing Tommy home from MeMe and BeBe's house the other night and we had this conversation in the car:
Tommy: Mommy, I had the hiccups at MeMe and BeBe's!
Me: You did?!? Well how did you get rid of them?
Tommy: With a lot of booze.
Me: (Silence) I'm sorry, what?
Tommy: BeBe said "Boo!" lots of times and they went away!

Play Ball!
This weekend we got to spend some quality fun-filled family time together. One of Dean's favorite ways to unwind is to watch a baseball game and so we are the proud season ticket holders to FSU Baseball. Because a large number of the players attend The Well (including Coach Shouppe), we do get some perks. One of those perks is that we got to sit in Coach Shouppe's office for Saturday night's game, which is right next to the press box and watch the game from there. Tommy thoroughly enjoyed himself.
The next day, we went to the Sunday afternoon game and sat with our friends, the Simmons'. Tommy was a little disappointed that we had to sit with the "normal people" in the bleachers, but he got over it pretty quickly when he started playing with Karsyn. On our way back to our car, we cut through Doak Campbell Stadium and sure enough, the field was open. So of course Tommy ran out onto the field through the tunnel and got to pretend to play football in front of roughly 83,000 fans. However, as we were walking off, he said "Mommy, what do I feel?" which is code for "I'm about to wet my pants in about .03 seconds". We quickly helped him pull his pants down and he proceeded to urinate just off the field. Sorry, groundskeepers.

A Typical Morning
Here's a sneak peak of our getting ready routine. I'm in the bathroom doing my makeup and Tommy is taking full advantage of the fact that there's a mirror in our room and he can watch himself jumping on the bed. Impersonating Thunder Cats, of course. The clothes on the bed had been folded at one time. Excuse the messy room.

Farm Day
We've had a busy week or two, but today we got to unwind a bit and visit our good friend Karen Knox on her Monticello farm. Tommy was a little sad that there were no horses or cows or any animals, for that matter, but they did recently acquire a dog named Shaggy. Or maybe it was Harry. Honestly, I forgot his name (blame the pregnancy hormones), but we had a great time.
This was Karen and Kenny's first year planting a winter garden and we got to see the fruits (actually vegetables) of their labor. Tommy and I helped Karen pull up some cute little heads of green leaf lettuce and I got to help myself to her arugula, which she discovered she doesn't like at all. Works out just fine for me! We got to take home a bag of salad greens (I'll be eating those myself) and tangerines from her tree. It totally made me want to move to the country and plant all my own food. But it was quite easy going to Publix this afternoon and just picking up some things I need. I guess convenience wins for now.
Dean and Tommy got to play a little T-ball on the wide open space that is the Knox's backyard and it was just so relaxing to sit outside in the gorgeous weather and watch them play.
