Besides being my adorable nephew Mac's first birthday, this date also holds some significance for me. It's the last day that Ty slept through the night (which means asleep around 6:30 or 7 and awake around 4:30 or 5 am, back to sleep until 7-ish. So for those of you who don't have kids, sleeping through the night still means ridiculously early mornings). After that date, we went out of town (which is the kiss of death for kids learning to sleep through the night), he got a flu shot, followed by two teeth, croup, and cycle after cycle of sinus crud and then two more teeth. I was wondering if he would ever sleep again.
But two nights ago, he proved me wrong. He's been on an antibiotic that's finally working and on Valentine's Day Eve, he slept from 8:00 pm all the way until 5:00 am. Then last night he slept from 7:00 til 5:30. Folks, we may be on our way back to a somewhat normal sleep schedule!
Hooray! Here's praying that this isn't a fluke!
